In my memory this match secured Preston the 3rd Division championship but judging by the date it must have been promotion. PNE were managed by Nobby Stiles and BCFC had the wonderfully-named Ces Podd playing for them. We joined in the pitch invasion, played imaginary football on the pitch, got locked in and had to scale the turnstile block to get out!
