Due to distance and cost it made sense to try and get on the Altrincham supporters coach. Departure time was 5AM but living an hour West and allowing time to find parking etc i was up at 2.45am. On the plus side it was announced closer to departure date that the sponsor''s AO were to provide the coach for free -£1 booking fee and refundable £10 deposit once members had booked i was lucky enough to get one of the remaining seats. Speaking of luck i''ve never had much however the day got better, sat at the front the footy team scratch card made it''s way from the rear it was £5 a go (rovers do one at 50p) a dozen teams were left and i decided on Watford as i was reading Football Weekends magazine who''s editor Jim follows the hornets. To be fair i couldn''t see Watford winning and only had a go to support the travel team but to my amazement it did...£100 cha ching. The journey couldn''t'' have gone better arriving just after noon despite the park and ride site not being well signposted for football coaches. After a group photo and chatting to a member of staff i was allowed in to take pictures before the gates opened however segregation was in play as a bumper crowd was expected with after match fireworks planned so i was not allowed into the away section. I was also asked to do two adverts on video for two of the sponsor''s. Sat in the main stand Alty left it late but deservedly wln 1-0 with a screamer having previously had a goal ruled out. Truro offered little in the way of attack. The only downside was an hour delay leaving the ground stuck behind the team bus our driver took one of the side tributaries but the steep up and down roads grounded the coach and not wanting to risk further damage waited for the team coach to depart. Arrved back in Altrincham 12.15am and back to mine for 1.15am. A long day but worth it
