A long trip south one i wasn''t looking forward to but Aldershot were on deaths door and definatley going out the league if not out of business so this may have been my only chance to visit.Staggered the journey calling into see my dad in Bedfordshire. The footy mag 90minites where outside the ground asking questions for their next copy and once inside the ground unusually set within the grounds of a public park their was a camera crew interviewing a bloke i immediatley recognised he was wearing a tranmere scarf so i lifted up my jumper to show off my rovers shirt that was it interveiw ruined as we made our greetings. Apparently they were drawing comparisons with our dark days of 1982 and whilst the other rovers fan tried to draw me into the topic of conversation i wasn''t clued up with the facts as it was a few years before i started going to matches. Think northampton won 4-1. The last league goal Aldershot scored before going bust failing to score in their final three games.
