I saw this game on my first wedding anniversary! Poor Fay, supportive Fay, patient Fay.
As I recall the setting was beautiful. Mountainous backdrop and a setting sun. I think we even got in Free after we couldn''t work out how to buy a ticket on the gate and a policeman somehow and for some reason waved us through.
This was during the period when Maradona and the rest of the World''s best were plying their trade in Italy and football there was seen in the same way as perhaps the rest of the world views the English leagues today.
I could barely believe it when a few years later this backwater of Italian football at the time made it to Serie A and eventually even Roberto Baggio spent four seasons there.
I think Brescia won 1-0. I remember their goalkeeper was a complete drama queen and from memory I would guess the crowd was around 2 or 3,000
