A ''Chummer Tuesday'' night out with Mick. Travelled separately and met there. Couple of pints in the Railway Tavern and the Albion. Then pies and bovril in the away end supporting the imps. Good game spoilt only by a crap ref who was really pinickety and sent a Lincoln player off early in second half for kicking the ball away (second offence). Lincoln dominated the first half and scored a long distance screamer. They then hung on with 10 men for most of second half but conceded very late - another great goal by Macclesfield - but a shame Lincoln conceded so late after such heroic defending. Delroy Facey was man of match in our view - working his nuts off all game. He got injured very late with the score at 1 1, but Macc refused to kick the ball out - instead they went for the winner, against 9 men now, which was bloody unsporting. Needless to say the Lincoln ''passionistas'' were not happy. There were tributes to Richard Butcher (including large flags in Lincoln end) who played for both clubs and died in Jan 2011 aged only 29. Lincoln also brought their drummer - which makes a massive positive difference to the atmosphere - bloomin marvelous travelling support. Great night overall - really enjoyed it (again) - these lower league ''neutral'' games are extremely enjoyable - love them.
