Went to this game with Lee and met Steve and Heidi on the train at Reading. This game did question my desire to complete the 92 as I had arrived back from a week away in North Yorkshire with Kelly the previous night and had to get up at 05.45 to drive to Colchester station. The journey was actually better in both directions than i thought and passed by quite quickly. We had to wait at Newton Abbott on the way there so decided it was quicker to get a bus the final few miles. Unfortunately however the bus stopped every 100yards and arrived about the same time! We got a lovely steak and chips followed by Chocolate Fudge cake and only left enough time to get a taxi to the ground. The game wasnt too bad (although Heidi may disagree as she read her magazine through most of it!). It looked like there was quite a lot of trouble in the away fans and a few got chucked out by about ten stewards each. We had to leave early to get the train home and there were a lot of fans hanging around on street corners followed later by a lot of Police Cars. We had to really rush to the station as we had little idea of the way and it left at 17.19. We got there with plenty of time to spare but Heidi was pretty knackered due to apparently being at a disadvantage because of shorter legs. Steve did offer to carry her bags once we got there and sat down though!! Not a bad journey home although Lee carried on abandoning his mates by getting off at Whitam to see one of his girlfriends, whose name I cant remember.....

Stayed in Reading on the friday night and meet Pagey and Ghouter on the train heading for Plymouth. Approx 2 1/2 hoyrs later we arrived in Torquay. Found a pub for a spot of lunch then got taxi to the ground. Usual quality of football as expected at that level so nothing to special ! Most exciting moment of the game was watching some Bury fans being forcefully ejected from the away end ! Heidi and I stayed in Reading for another night in preperation for the Burton game on Sunday. Felt for Pagey and Ghouter who had probably twice as long as us until they got home.

Met Rob at Colchester Station at 6:45 after getting up at 5:45am! Journey to London went quickly and I got ripped off to the tune of £6.30 for a Pasty and a hot chocolate at Paddington Station! Steve and Heidi got on at Reading and after reading the paper on the way down spilling a cup of tea on myself and then having a sleep the rest of the journey seemed to go really quickly as well! Arrived at Newton Station and we decided to bus it to Torquay tself rather than wait 45 mins for the connecting train! Had a lunch in Torquay itself and then got Cab to the ground and looking out the window was glad as it was all up hill! The game was ok, torquay looked fantastic when me and Rob saw them at cheltenham a few weeks before but weren't so great this time. The game was ok although not particularly memorable, Heidi made us laugh by spending much of the game with her head in a magazine. There were several Bury fans chucked out including one who got turfed out by about 15 Stewards which seemed somewhat excessive! There was another Bury fan who kept remonstrating with everyone who would listen! We left the ground 5 minutes early to get to Torre station as we were cutting it fine to get our train and Rob's makeshift map was hardly brilliant in guiding us their. There was clearly some organised violence going on as we went past a dodgy looking pub with an even dodgier looking guy standing on the corner who was clearly a spotter, we crossed over and on the original side of the road a bit further down were at least 10-12 guys in their Burberry Caps and Stone Island jumpers who were likely up for a ruck! Rob asked some dude for directions to the station who was deaf and then we went on our way, no sooner were we 2 minutes down the road than 2 speeding police cars with sirens on headed up the road almost certainly I reckon to the area we just pasted through! We got a bit further down the road and another 2 police Cars went whizzing by so clearly it must of kicked off big time. They say the trouble is in the lower leagues where there is less policing and this seemed to prove so. We made the station with time to spare and the journey back although not as quick as the way there went pretty fast. A long day but another good one off the list!
