This was a convergence game for Charlie and one of the most difficult tickets to get hold of (along with Bournemouth and Brentford). But our memberships gamble paid off with entry to the ticket lottery successful. Only problem was seats were in the new temporary stand that had no roof and heavy rain forecast. But again luck smiled upon us as the first half was dry (bloomin'' cold!!!) with bits of blue sky. We also got free scarves as well so the luck just kept on giving. Our seats (soaking wet when we arrived) were set just to one side of the goal giving us the perfect view of all four goals and Paul Mullin''s hattrick. The ground was packed (as always) and the noise generated by just over 12 thousand fans was very impressive putting a lot of Premier league far bigger numerically crowds to shame. Lots of laughs with Char - especially listening to the bloke behind telling his mate about his trip to America complete with horrific accents (esp the ''Spanish'' cabbie). Our luck had to run out sooner or later and - as it was - 10 minutes into the second half it started to rain ice. Being seated in the open air it was impossible to keep out legs dry and fingers frost free so with the game sewn up we left at 83 minutes and headed home. A great day out.
