This game was arranged to celebrate the FA''s 75th anniversary and was considered at the time to be a full international. FIFA have since reversed this decision despite picking the team and having their badge on the shirts. The FA still recognise the caps issued so it is considered a full international. The first half of the game was shown live on TV.
