Comments :
Went on my own to this game and experienced 4 seasons during the game. Needhams saturday cricket team were playing at Yoxford and I had nothing else on so thought I would correspond watching our boys play cricket with ticking off another Ryman League ground. Had actually previously played sunday morning football at the ground but didn''t think it right to count the ground, having not seen a first team game. Arrived just before kick off in bright sunshine and Leiston started the game playing some great football. Their first goal was a spectacular flying volley from Nathan Stone (Formerly of Needham FC). To be honest the performance Leiston put in the first half was by far the best I have seen at this standard. They may of only recently been promoted to this level but on this showing must surely be looking to go higher still. 2 more good goals followed and it could have been more. At half time the weather began to turn and a spectacular electrical storm was evident in the distance. I fully expected the cricket match I was going to finish seeing after the footy to have been abandoned. The 2nd half was good if not as good as the first half. The clouds from the distance moved over the ground and the heaviest rain I have seen for some time started coming down. It then began to howl with wind and huge hail begun to fall much to the players obvious discomfort. The rain got that heavy and horizontal in direction that the entire side of supporters I was in went running into the clubhouse, from there I watched the final 10 minutes of action. After the game I sprinted to my car from the rain and headed back to Yoxford to see the rest of the cricket. unbeliveably despite being sodden the whole drive back somehow Yoxford''s tiny ground seemed to of missed the weather apart from a brief downpour and I managed to see the rest of the match there.
