Comments :
Enjoyable game. Colchester had the England international Ray Crawford. He was though second fiddle to Ted MacDougall who scored four times. Bournemouth were very impressive. Dean Court was a typical lower league ground of the day. Terracing on all but one side. Stood on the bank behind one goal. Another ground later to be re-modernised and what it gained in facilities it lost in individuality.
