Match no. 175. Jim McCalliog gave Wolves an early lead (6) with Clyde Best equalising before half-time. Further goals from Bobby Moore and Best put Hammers 3-1 up but Wolves scored twice in the last 10 minutes through McCalliog and Bobby Gould to earn a draw. During the game the referee, Mr J G D Lewis (Port Talbot), was hit by the ball and knocked out. Showing great presence of mind, Bobby Moore picked up the ref''s whistle and blew it to stop the game.
