It has been a very wet day, and I''m unsure the game will be played. I phone the ground and they confirm its on. Leave the cottage at 18.15 and take M6 & M55 to Blackpool and then get lost. I ask 4 people and arrive near the ground with 20 mins before ko. Find a tight parking space down a suburban road, and walk swiftly back in the rain. In my seat with 10 mins to go. Huddersfield took the lead on 13 mins with the home team equalising on the half hour. An unnecessary foul by a Blackpool defender gave Hudsfld a free kick on the right wing which was driven over for Vaughan to head powerfully home. In the second half another free kick from a similar position flew beyond everyone to hit the net. Hastened back to the car and again got lost in the dark rainy night trying to find the M55. Eventually got back to Beck Cottage at 22.50
