I was doing my safety at sea refresher course at Teeside so decided to go to this match on the Tuesday night. The ground was easy to find. Very annoyed to see BP charging 1.55 for a litre of diesel on the M6 so I only got 8 pounds worth. There was a superb Baguette shop outside the ground and I bought a special burger with mushrooms, onion, fried egg, lettuce and mushrooms. I also had a pie and bag of crisps. Wonderful. It was a freezing cold night and the ground was terrible. I went in the home end behind the goal. Walsall were by far the better side. I had a good chat with some young lads. The toilets were the worst I have ever seen. On the way back to Teeside I almost ran out of diesel but having got to Scotch Corner I was pleased to see diesel was only 1.45. Much more like a reasonable price!
