Lois Maynard headed the visitors in front before John Oster met a Valentin Gjokaj cross to fire home an equaliser soon after. Maynard restored Halifax's advantage with a 30-yard effort only for Danny Wright to level again from the spot. Wright secured a 10th league draw of the season after Scott Boden fouled Rob Ramshaw in the penalty area. Gateshead remain two points adrift of Halifax in the Conference table, but move up to ninth spot while the Shaymen slip to seventh
