Comments :
Got a train to Alton, coffee in our café by the passage, then no 11 bus to Basingstoke station. Caught train to Bramley and walked to St James church. Chatted to a couple of chaps from Blackheath also visiting Simon Jenkins best 1000. Made mistake of walking by muddy field path back to the station. Then walked thru'' town a mile and a half to the Camrose, situated beside a very busy dual carriageway. £8 to get in and the programme was only a £1 which I thought cheap. Until I discovered later that it was dated Tues 25 Nov 2014, when presumably this game should have been played. Paid £1 extra to get in the substantial stand for a welcome sit down with a cup of tea. Bromley went behind on 19 mins, but Bromley equalised 3 mins later. The game was entertaining and an effort made to pass the ball, rather than kick and rush usually associated with lower leagues. Left in injury time to get back to the station asap. Part way there caught a bus which got me to the station for the 17.13 to waterloo. Due to engineering work at Wimbledon, both journeys were re routed via Virginia Water and Staines. Changed at Clapham Jct for Victoria, and the to B Sth, and 138 bus home arr. 19.15
