Comments :
As the mist rolled in from the River Severn, Bromsgrove Sporting advanced to the Worcestershire Senior Urn semi final after a 3-2 penalty shoot out win after the tie had finished 2-2 after 90 minutes. Sean Brain had given Sporting the lead on 20 minutes when he latched on to a through ball and lobbed the ball over the Bewdley ''keeper and Luke Edwards extended Sporting''s lead on the hour mark, but instead of putting the tie to bed The Rouslers let WMRL Bewdley back into the game, in which they scored twice in the last 10 minutes: with their first 2 chances of the match, to take the tie to penalties, (Worcestershire FA having sensibly dispensed with extra-time in its cup competitions). The first 6 penalties saw only young Alfie Bloomer scoring, ironically the rest of the penalties were all scored with Brain and Keenen Meakin-Richards seeing the Victoria Ground outfit through to the semi-final.
