Met Charlie and Jack at London Bridge for a swift loosener in All Bar One. Then down to South Bermondsey and a short walk to the stadium. What a brilliant night in the Kitchener Lounge on full hospo. The so-called 'welcome drink' was a gift that kept on giving all night long with glasses topped up the instant they got low. The staff were excellent (friendly and fun) and the food really good. There was also a table top card magician who was truly amazing. ian Holloway (Olly) the manager gave us a talk before KO that was very interesting offering an insight into the manager's thinking and preparation. The stadium is neat and functional and the lounge is great - view onto the pitch. The only blot on a first class night was the awful football played by Millwall who were deservedly beaten. A swift couple of beers after and then we were on our way back to Bexleyheath (Jack's house). Unfortunately the train was diverted to Sidcup but we managed to get a taxi back. In no way at all did it detract from a wonderful night out.
