Bromsgrove Sporting made it 10 successive league victories when they beat Coventry Copsewood at the Victoria Ground, but it was Copsewood who opened the scoring when massive striker David Akinuli headed in a left wing cross in the 10th minute, a minute later Sporting were level when a left wing corner from Robbie Bunn was precisely headed into his own net by the unfortunate Matthew Burt. Sporting took the lead for the first time when striker Jason Cowley converted a 43rd. minute penalty after Reece Hewitt had been upended in the penalty area. Sporting upped the ante after the break and went 3-1 in front after 54 minutes, when Luke Edwards found himself in the right place at a corner and found the net from 6 yards. Substitute Chris Lloyd found the net after 63 minutes, his first touch was a terrific right foot shot from outside the area to make it 4-1. Copsewood pulled a goal back in the 82nd minute when after fine work down the left, saw a cross find Alex Andrews in the area who turned and shot past Jono Brown in the Bromsgrove goal, Cowley added his second a minute later after a fine run and shot across the penalty area, saw him score with aplomb with another terrific right foot shot.
