Ticket price £25.00 (part of a double header weekend away with Bradford City v Millwall being the other game on the 26th.
199 miles and 4hrs via the A127/M25/M11/A14/A1/A635 - the reason the journey up was so long was because the A1 was a virtual car park at times with it being Good Friday. Oakwell is a very large stadium with 4 distinct stands, 1 being huge, 2 being decent sized behind each goal and a 4th that looked like it had seen much better days with uncovered seating on the lower tier. I had a great seat with ample leg room on the half way line in the Pukka Pies East Upper stand!
The ground has massive and reasonably priced parking facilities (very impressed) and all stewards/locals that I met were polite. Despite a great playing surface the game was truly awful with neither keeper having a save to make until the 70th minute plus the atmosphere was very muted with home fans creating very little support for a team chasing a play off place. I had an overnight stay planned at a Premier Inn at Wakefield before heading to Bradford.
