Went straight from Pemby Country Park to the ground with Dad, Joseph and Mum. Got the the ground at about 18:30 and as the game kicked off at 19:30 we went in the club bar and I had a half pint of San Miguel. Went into the ground about 30 mins before KO. Was a decent ground with a very nice main stand which was a bit out off place considering the rest of the ground. The 1st half was a very entertaining game with both sides playing some very good football and giving it 100%. Merthyr took the lead with good play on the edge of the box by their number 8 before belting one in the top corner. Llanelli equalised about 10-15 mins with another cracker into the top corner. There were a number of chances for both sides in the 1st half and it was a very entertaining half of football. The 2nd half was the best of affairs as Llanelli started to tire and Merthyr were happy with passing the ball around and keeping possession. Merthyr took the lead about 10 mins after half time after a mistake from one of the Llanelli defenders. They extended their lead with about 10-15 mins remaining after a ball was threaded through to Stuart Fleetwood who managed to have a shot that went along the goal line before another Merthyr player tapped it in. The game finished at about 21:15 and we got in the car to go back to where we were staying. Got back just before 22:00.
