Ekuku missed a hatful of chances but, with a threegoal cushion it didnt really matter. The ground was a bit Aldershot, but it is a provincial club. Note to self, don''t travel by coach to European games again.

The first Canaries-in-Europe match! As all English fans are thugs we were not allowed independent transport, instead departing on a club coach @ 0400 from Victoria (via a Soho cocktail bar and a walk past Buck Palace!) Efan had scored his allocation at Everton and so missed numerous chances, but there were no worries and City progressed to the next round.
