Comments :
I set off after having dropped Jessica at dancing. It was a good journey 50 minutes long. It reminded me of the time Heather had driven us to Leeds Festival in her car over a year ago. Once in Selby I quickly found the ground but could not find fish and chips. Instead I bought a nice Chinese meal. Duck Char Sui Chop Suey and chips. It was the usual £5 to get into the ground. Once in I decided to sit behind the goal on a stand with seats. There were quite a few others there. I took a photograph of a leather armchair that seemed a bit luxurious for such a ground. I tried it out too. In the first half it seemed that Parkgate were the better team. This surprised me. The first goal was a great header which went into the bottom right corner. The second I missed as I was looking the wrong way. Soon after came half time. I was surprised by the score because Selby were up towards the top of the table in this division. After the half time break Selby played better but with little threat. The Parkgate goal keeper was quite entertaining. Half way through the second half Parkgate scored a great goal up the working the ball up the left side of the pitch. I left just as the end of the match approached. On the way home discovering that Liverpool and Tottenham had made it through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
