Comments :
Went with Dad and Joseph by car. Left holiday house in Aldeburgh at 14:30 and parked at ground at about 14:45. They didn't sell programmes as they were only available online. Sat in the stand opposite the clubhouse. The game itself started off well with the 1st 20 mins being end to end with both sides having chances and Leiston hitting the crossbar and chances which should have been taken. The rest of the 1st half died out a bit and it was 0-0 at HT. The 2nd half was a dire affair with some awful football from both sides for about the first 30 mins of the 2nd half as both sides seemed to just want to lump it up-field. Leiston then got a penalty with about 20 mins left of the game but their striker Jake Reed had it saved by the Royston keeper. Leiston then took the lead with about 15 mins left from a cracking strike by their number 4 who was the best player throughout the game. The game then livened up with Royston looking to get an equaliser and having chances to get it before they got it from a set piece which was headed in at the back post. Both sides then had chances to win it but the game ended 1-1. Left the ground at about 17:00 and drove to Nanny Norwich's for dinner. Got back to Aldeburgh at about 22:00.
