Left home with Dad at about 9:45 and got the bus to Tooting station. Got the train up to St Pancras and then got the 11:47 train to Doncaster and we got to the station at about 13:35. We walked to the ground which was about 30 mins away. The ground itself is in the middle of nowhere and has nothing around it for fans to do or see. We went in at about 14:30. The 1st half was an average half with Doncaster not looking like they'd finished pre-season. Gillingham's front 3 looked alert and dangerous on the attack and scored after about 30 mins. Doncaster had a bit of reaction and managed to get an undeserved equaliser on the stroke of HT through a lovely volley on the edge of the 18 yard box. The second half was a much more entertaining half with Doncaster waking up after HT and taking control of the game. There weren't any clear cut chances for either side but Doncaster were the better side in the 2nd half but poor passing and match sharpness let them down. We left the ground at about 16:50 and walked back to the station. Our train was late by about 15 mins so we left Doncaster at 18:00 and got into King's Cross at about 19:40. We got the tube home and got back at 20:30.
