It''s not often I leave, or even consider leaving, a match early. If the team are losing or drawing I like to believe that they can get back in the game. Nick a late goal and bombard the opposition and maybe get that equaliser or winner. If they''re winning I like to stay and applaud the team''s efforts. Tonight though I was seriously considering abandoning the match with quarter of an hour still to go. Certainly quite a few in the crowd decided to do just that after Palace''s second goal and after their third most of the stands were empty. After struggling to beat Luton 1-0 and Mansfield 2-1 in previous rounds the Albion were now facing a Premier League team, albeit the usual second string with a few first teamers thrown in, which, unfortunately, is now the norm for most every team in this competition.
