Comments :
Arrived early with a gammy knee that had led me to doubt my attendance. Decent set up but the first half was a non event with both sides cancelling each other out. The second half was a bit better, substitute Richard Allen with the first shot at the keeper, another decent effort arrived shortly after and once again it was from the home side as a player beat his man at the by line before beating another player and getting a shot off that was well saved. The goal when it came was fortuitous as it looked to be a lob towards the back post that dropped in by no6 Scott Burton. Matlocks first shot on target came shortly before the end of normal time and could easily have given them an undeserved point but for an acrobatic tip over the bar from the outstretched fingers of Roccia in the home goal. Possession was fairly even but the home side looked more of a threat after the break. Matlocks Adam Yates made his 500th appearence. Unfortunately a home player tested positive for covid after the game which led to a withdrawal from the FA cup and a couple of games postponed
