Comments :
Went with Dad for first competitive game of the season. Left home at about 10:30 as it was a 13:00 KO. Got the 127 to Mitcham Junction where I got the tram to Elmers End where I met Dad before getting the bus to the game. Got to the ground at about 11:45. Was the first game I went to with my new camera so spent a lot of the game capturing pictures/action shots. The first hour of the game was a bit dire with Jersey Bulls being the better side but not creating too many chances. Beckenham's winger was sent off with about 5 mins remaining of the first half for dissent. Beckenham had to dig in for the rest of the game and managed to win a penalty about 10 mins after HT which was converted to make it 1-0 to Beckenham. The game then improved there on as Jersey provided consistent waves of attack with a string of good saves from the Beckenham goalkeeper keeping them out. Beckenham managed to hold on to take the win and condemn the Bulls to their first defeat as a team in about 30 odd games. Got the bus back to Elmers End and then got the tram to Mitcham Junction before getting the 127 and getting home at about 16:15.
