Comments :
Decent cup game, with a worldy of a goal from Stuart Armstrong - top corner with swazz from 25yards! Saints fielded a weak side as the Premier League had scheduled a full set of league fixtures for 3/4 days later. Pity. Cov played well and led. Half-time introduction of Saints'' Walker-Peters at left-back closed down Coventry''s right side. Impressed with the stadium. Very tidy. Friendly crowd apart from a group of idiots nearby me. The ''backstage'' facilities in the Itchen Stand were outstanding. Carpeted, mood lighting (!), quayside view, and multiple service points for drinks etc. Best I have seen anywhere and by some distance. Parked at Ocean Village multi-storey, a 15 minute walk from the ground. Handy for getting away after the game too. This was Part 1 of a double header as I had a ticket for Bournemouth v Boreham Wood the following day.
