Managed to get a cheap 48hr return flight although hotels where expensive i found a cheaper alternative through airbnb. Having a friend in the city whom I''d met on previous European football adventures helped enormously especially as he went well out of his way in time and money to make my stay a successful one including taking me to Cobh to see another ground. Unfortunately heavy rain marred the football as we were both soaked before getting into the ground. I am sure the bad weather effected the attendance for this derby although Cobh''s poor form had also led to their manager leaving after their previous 0-3 home defeat. To be fair considering it was top v second bottom Cobh could have snook a point at the death. Their keeper had made a couple of good saves to keep them in it at one stage and Cove had their injury problems but whist they didn''t look as sharp up front their number 14 was probably man of the match.
