Comments :
With my car in the garage i bought a return train ticket but on my arrival into Liverpool lime street i was told no trains would be stopping in Warrington today! The timeline was finite but i had two options go home or grab a bus or two. I chose the later jumping on the 61 and changing onto the 7 at Huyton with the later taking me all the way back to Liverpool on my return. Once in Warrington i planned to get a third bus to the ground but when this appeared to be running 15 minutes late i chose to walk the twenty minutes. The weather was drizzly but over the course of the first half threatened to turn into a monsoon easing off in the second 45. Ben Hockenhull on loan from Tranmere and former Tranmere player Kyle Hayde both had good games. Whitby had a glorious early chance to take the lead with a one on one but their player failed to hit the target with an angled shot and shortly after Rylands made them pay with a cross from the rhs by the flag to the back post headed back across the goal nestling into the inside side netting. HT 1-0, the second goal came from the penalty spot fired centrally into the roof of the net. Rylands had the better of the remaining chances with a feirce angled drive from Hayde parried over by the keeper and a 20yard daisey cutter being turned behindfor a corner. Had a rare pint before the game and some tasty salt and pepper chips. Decent programme for £2
