Match no. 1265. Before the start there was a minute's applause for Peter Brabrook, who passed away 3 days before. He was in the West Ham team for my first-ever visit to Upton Park (match no. 13 v Blackburn Rovers - 12.2.1966) just over 50 years ago and was a great favourite of mine and all Hammers fans. This was the 10th time I'd seen West Ham play Burnley (the first time was Match no. 33 on 25.3.1967) and, amazingly, Hammers have won all ten, easily the best record for me v all opponents. The London Stadium is an impressive venue, although I got lost on arrival and couldn't find the entrance to my block, but, for me, it simply does not have the atmosphere of Upton Park.
