A long drive for a wet November evening (2 hours) but well worth it.
It started absolutely lashing down with rain just before kick off but I (aka Lord Smug from Smugginton Hall, Smugley on Smug, Smuggington) had carefully and consciously booked seats right at teh back of the stand and in the corner so we were dry throughout (unlike the dullards booked down front).
Nice little stadium with one very modern stand (wot we was in!!) meaning we had to look at littleold stands and the Clud Social Club that looked a bit like a groundsman's garage.
Excellent Cod mascot (loads of swagger !!) who seemed to delight in parading in front of the Carlisle fans who baited (ha ha !!) him mercilessly.
Best banner - Fleetwood supports flag proclaiming them to be ULTRAS DE COD.
Suprisingly good crowd seeing as how it was live on TV and weather horrible plus the bourgening alternative attractions of Fleetwood including the Granda Fish Bar AND Restaurant and the De Vere Fitness Village. Excellent shanty tune and dancing Cod Mascot when Fleetwood scored a goal. Loved it.
Fleetwood sub (Jon Parkin) was hee-yooge!! - easily the size (and shape) of a telephone box.
Good entertaining game despite the strong wind and pile-diving rain and a slick drive back to be home before midnight.
Loved it. Will be walking like a cod (not cock !!) from here on.
