Comments :
Rain and drizzle on a soggy pitch. This game was finally played at the 5th attempt with the original programme used. An even first half with the I.O.M keeper making two saves before taking the lead on 38 through a mazy dribble and low shot inside the box and also fired narrowly over before the break. Second half they nearly doubled their advantage when a fierce free kick crashed against the bar but in truth the half was dominated by Irlam as IOM sat deep. The IOM keeper was my man of the match for umpteenth saves and the few times he was beaten the defenders cleared of the line however Irlam did eventually get their deserved equaliser from Ayres (69) slotting home a low cross from close range.
