Another game linked in to a visit south to see Mum. Stayed in Eastbourne last night (Queen tribute concert) and walked along the promenade this morning in glorious sunshine. Then a short drive out to the ground for this. Neat and functional ground with lots of space all round. Odd to see a full bar in the corner of the concourse. Not only drinking in view of the playing surface but serving alcohol whilst watching the match. Great. Pitch is artificial but the quality of the football was actually pretty good. Easy to see why Eastbourne Borough are pushing for promotion. good crowd too and mostly very pleasant. Funny moment when the man behind me, with the score at 2-1, said, I reckon the next goal wins it. I laughed. Once out of the sunshine it was jolly cold and I needed to get beck into town to collect Suey and drive us to Arundel (passing Brighton stadium and they were at home) so I wasn't that sad I had to leave soon after half time. Good day out though. And excellent burger in Arundel.
