Top of the table Liversage took a first minute lead when a corner was headed home they were the better side first half and nearly scored a second when a back header had to be tipped onto the bar by the keeper. Golcar had a great long distance shot hit the bar but that was as good as it got first half. Second half the visitors sat deep and allowed the hosts plenty of possession but weren''t testing the keeper. Sages lead was doubled when a cross was then hit against the post but the rebound fell kindly and was rapped home. Unexpectedly the home number 11 pulled one back with an angled shot from the six yard box. At the other end Golcars keeper looked shady all game and gifted several chances he was beaten to the ball rushing out on more than one occasion and leaving an open goal for surely the definitive goal but unexplicably the away player was not confident enough to stroke home instead opting for a pass and shot that was blocked. It did feel like Liversage might be punished for not taking chances as in the last 20 minutes Golcar pressed for an equaliser
