Comments :
AFC Telford 1-4 Nottingham Forest A young Nottingham Forest side defeated Telford 4-1 in their latest pre-season friendly on Wednesday. Goals from Matt Thornhill, Gareth McCleary and Adam Newbold gave the Reds a 3-0 half-time lead. Emile Sinclair made it four in the second half before Martyn Naylor scored late consolation goal for Telford. Forest now go on to meet to Everton at home on 25 July, while Telford head for the south coast to take on Havant and Waterlooville on 26 July. Telford manager Rob Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire: We gave them too much respect. Forest are a classy side, but we gave away some sloppy goals in the first half and I had a bit of a go at the players at half-time. They responded well, and we looked much tighter after that. Nottingham Forest captain Ian Breckin told the club website: I was impressed with the way we passed the ball, we never gave them a chance.
