This was during the period when Maradona and the rest of the World''s best were plying their trade in Italy and football there was seen in the same way as perhaps the rest of the world views the English leagues today. I could barely believe it when a few years later this backwater of Italian football at the time made it to Serie A and eventually even Roberto Baggio spent four seasons there.
