Drove down to this game on a Tuesday evening. Was pissing it down with Rain as I headed down the A12 and it took alot longer getting through Shenfield and Brentwood to the ground than I expected. Arrived 10 mins before kick off and stood in one of thetiny covered areas. the pitch was sodden and surrounded by mud. It looked like it was wet enough to perhaps call the game off but it went ahead. Brentwood were much the better side in the 1st half and went in with a deserved lead. Needham started building the pressure immediately after the break and when the scored the first, 2 more goals followed immediately. Must surely be the shortest amount of time I have seen 3 goals go in. Needham went on and got a 4th and Brentwood scored another consolation to leave the score 4-2 at full time. Stayed for a quick drink after. The ground was very basic and the A12 was directly behind the stand. Makes you wonder how a club like that has any prospect of getting any bigger.
