After goal-less draws at Morecambe and Stevenage (NOT Stevenage Borough, incidently) this was the jackpot. 5-5. Burnley, in all their 4700 plus game have never had this score. Crewe played superb football in the first half and were 4-1 in 25 minutes. Chesterfield made a substitution after 20 mins and this stabilised things and a goal before half time left them with hope. A third goal with plenty of time left looked promising , but the Alex scored almost at once. The last period was frenetic and the Chesterfield lot said it felt better than winning, though obviously two points were lost. Very nice ground, but dreadful for parking. If I go again, its train and feet. On this day, I could not have gone wrong. Burnley drew at Millwall with ten men for most of the match, and Accie were at home and doubtless I would have gone there. They won 7-4!
