Cool sunny day. Caught 8.18 (43020) from Paddington to Taunton, bus replacement to Tiverton Parkway for 11.25 to Plymouth, arr 12.50. Walked through lovely Home Park to Plymouth''s ground on the other side. Bought my £14.50 ticket in the Mayflower stand, contributed to the staff bucket collection, (the club has gone into administration, and is in dire financial straits, staff not having been paid for two months). Found the Britannia pub (a Weatherspoons), had a pint of Doom Bar and a chicken burger and chips, and chatted to two guys from Rochdale, down for the weekend, and a ''Pilgrim'' from Exeter. Changed my first pad of the day, having been able to go quite regularly. Progress! Up to the ground, sat next to a friendly knowledgable season ticket holder. Rochdale played the better football, and both had chances. But Rochdale nicked it early in the second half. Left at 16.45 to be sure to catch the 17.12 back to Paddington. This journey via Exeter St Davids, Exeter Central, Yeovil Junction, Castle Cary and Pad. New track there! Home at 23.00 on chilly clear moonlit night
