Pleasant day out. Shrewsbury is a nice town. Brand new stadium very nice too. The football wasn''t up to much though. Shrewsbury split the Stockport defence wide open twice early doors and scored both times (one a pen). I thought the flood gates were going to open and Stockport were going to get a thrashing. But Salop (as the locals call them) sat back and Stockport had a host of chances, none of which were converted. They could have played till midnight and they would still never have scored - it was just one of those days for them. I thought the Shrews crowd were very timid/quiet but I liked the flags - Spirit of 79, Proud Salopians, Floreat Salopia - very upmarket supporters this lot!
