Green army!!!! After a visit to Plymouth Hoe (which is beautiful) and a quick look at the Town Centre (which is not so beautiful - the post Hoerman Goering/Luftwaffe school of architecture def in evidence there) saw a great game at Home Park. Surrounded by a large park on a hill above the sea, the stadium has one modern stand that curves around 3 sides of the pitch + an old stand on the 4th side (seating above and standing below). No one in the standing area but loads of giant flags there including one saying Forza Verde! Morecambe had brought a small but creditable number of fans + a flag proclaiming Morecambe Sardines on Tour! Pilgrim theme on show with Hatted Mascot, Mayflower Road, etc. Ballboys ran out of tunnel pre match to a round of applause + a starburst manoeuvre from centre circle to pitch sides. Great music pre match incl Buzzcocks, Stone Roses, etc. Bob Marley''s 3 little birds (Don''t worry about a thing) played and sung by Argyle fans before KO. Both sets of fans had a drummer and boy did we hear them, esp Argyles. I know it''s easy to sing when you''re winning but the Argyle fans were absolutely magnificent - non stop singing from the first whistle to the last. They played Morecambe off the pitch too - and should have won by more than two goals. I can see why they''re top of the league - 2 cracking goals and loads of chances created. Other high/low-lights incl the puke on the pitch fan, the frozen drink and the cheese puff eating seagulls! You had to be there really. Green army!!!!
