A really enjoyable day out. Tiny little ground - almost non league. And obviously seen better days. But the atmosphere and football was really entertaining. Good honest english lower league football, like something from the 50s. The Stanley Ultras had a drummer and some good support. A lot of banners too - including one that said you can never understand what you''ve never experienced. It was the 50th anniversary of Stanley leaving the league in 1962 and the survivors of the ''62 team were all in attendance at the match. The fans sang songs about ''62 as well. At the other end were a few hundred Vale fans who face difficult times of their own - rumoured to be going into administration themselves very soon. Nothing changes eh?

Ok game, poor ground. Fair play Vale fans brought a lot up and sang all game.

Wasn't expecting a great ground and therefore wasn't dissappointed. Watched Arsenal v Liverpool in The Crown before the game. Sat 5 rows back from pitchside. Typical League two game with no great skill from either side. Think the Accrington Manager may lose his voice. Had a meat & potato pie (2) in Accrington Town centre which was well worth it
