Game 32. We decided to go by train to this one as it was just as cheap and took about the same amount of time to get there. I met Alec at 8am at Nottingham train station and we got our supplies for the journey. The journey was good and we arrived in Ipswich at 11.30. We had plenty of time to kill so we went to the ground first to do our photos. The ground is almost in the town centre and only 5 mins from the station. As we walked down Portman Road we passed statues of both Bobby Robson and Alf Ramsey. We bought our pin badges from the shop and then went on a lap of the ground. At the ticket office i asked if we would be allowed to have our photos taken inside the ground. They flatly refused the request. As we walked further around the ground i asked the same question to the security staff. They had no problems and told me to ask the press officer at reception. We were allowed entry to the ground and a really nice bloke called Elie escorted us in and out of the ground. Elie chatted to us and even walked out of the stadium with us to show us how to get in to town. We walked in to town and went to the pub next door to the Wetherspoons. We had a pint and a nice lunch of pie and chips. As we headed towards another pub nearer the ground we bumped in to a fellow 92er. His name was Charles and he told us all about his 92 journey. We all went to the pub together before heading to the ground. The game itself was good. After a slow start Huddersfield took a 1-0 lead in to half time. In the second half two former Forest defenders were involved in the Ipswich equalizer.Luke Chamber claimed it but it looked like an own goal by Joel Lynch. Ipswich took the lead before Huddersfield got back in it. A late Huddersfield penalty was saved and the match finished 2-0. The first train back had plenty of Huddersfield fans aboard (all beer''d up). Luckily we had to change trains and we got our own beer and snacks for the last leg. On arrival at Nottingham i was met by Sarah and we went for a couple more drinks in town. Another good day out.
