Myself and my 10 year old son Luke decided on this adventure to take in the 92 league grounds and made Wigan our 1st venture. We set off with Luke''s best friend Joseph Gelhardt(joffy).joffy had recently signed schoolboy forms with Wigans Academy and the club gave him 3 complimentary tickets for the family enclosure which we were happy to take advantage of.We caught a train from Liverpool Lime Street Station to Wigan North Western. We sampled the local fish and chip shop outside the station and caught a taxi the short distance to the ground. Before a crowd of 19,284 Wigan old boy Hugo Rodallega opened the scoring for Fulham in the first half,Damien Duff added a second in the second half before Arouna Kone pulled one back late on for Wigan.Fulham held on and the game finished 2-1 to the away side.We decided to walk back to the train station and caught the train back to Liverpool. An enjoyable game and day to begin our adventure Programme £3

Game 33. In keeping with tradition i arranged this outing as my present for Alec''s birthday. I picked up Alec from Sutton station just before 10am and headed towards Wigan. As the journey progressed Alec narrowed down which ground we were visiting and eventually with about 20 mins to spare he got it. We parked in car park 4 and as we were so early we took our photos of the ground. We were allowed inside the stadium to take some photos. We then headed in to town. This took about 20mins. I had read a review about a pie shop called Garroways which we found. The pies were good. We then walked down to The Orwell at Wigan Pier. Here we had a pie, peas, chips and gravy for £3. As it was so nice outside we sat outside alongside the canal. We then walked back to the ground and visited the Marquee which is a bar for visiting supporters at the ground. We met a few people here who talked to us about the 92. The game itself was not the best. We had good seats near the half way line. Fulham took a 2-0 lead but never looked in trouble. Wigan got a late goal back but not good enough.
