1st ever game in the EFL for Sutton. Got a lift from mum to Sutton''s ground getting there about 9:50 to get the supporters coach to FGR. The coach left Sutton at about 10:10 and took what felt like an age getting there because of traffic on the M25 and M3. We eventually got to the ground at about 13:50 and I took my place on the ''covered terrace'' that was in no way covered. The game itself was a decent one. We started the first 10 mins well and settled into the game getting a feel for the ball without creating too many chances. On about 30 mins Forest Green got the ball out wide and put a cross into the back post which was headed over Bouzanis into the back of the net to put them 1-0 up. They then had the majority of possession in the final 15 mins of the half and we looked like we were chasing shadows until HT. We came out of the half the much better side and had a couple of chances before drawing level after about 70 mins through a lovely pinpoint cross from Ajiboye finding the head of Bugiel who''s bullet header flew into the top corner making it 1-1 with 20 mins left. The game then ebbed and flowed and looked to be ending a fair draw but FGR won a cheap free kick in the 90th minute which was floated in and headed home to give them a 2-1 league. Cruel way to lose the game but a lot of positives to take. Got back on the coach but didn''t leave until about 17:40 as we had to wait for the media team. Didn''t have much traffic on the journey back and got back to Sutton''s ground at about 20:15. Got the train home to Tooting and walked home from there getting back just before 21:00.
