Clockwatch: England 6-1 Iceland Goalflashes and major incidents (from 1530 BST) Photos from Manchester 90 mins: Dutch referee Jan Wegereef puts an end to Iceland's misery as England get the perfect send-off for Euro 2004 - with the opening game against France just eight days away. 83 mins: England's 24th man Jermain Defoe is brought on for the last seven minutes of normal time - unless there is an injury to the final squad of 23 he will not be going to Portugal.. 77 mins: GOAL England 6-1 Iceland Darius Vassell gets his second after an intricate one-two with Emile Heskey leads to a curled effort from 20 yards out. 73 mins: Eidur Gudjohnsen half-volleys the ball against Ian Walker's bar to show once again why he is the star of the Iceland team. 67 mins: GOAL England 5-1 Iceland Wayne Bridge adds England's fifth with an accomplished finish after the ball is knocked down to him from Emile Heskey's head via a precision Nicky Butt cross. 65 mins: Watford's Heidar Helgason crashes his ball into the side-netting after Eidur Gudjohnsen puts him through. 61 mins: Relegated Leicester City goalkeeper Ian Walker comes on for his first England game in seven years. 57 mins: Kieron Dyer gives Joe Cole an ideal opportunity to score but the Chelsea midfielder does his Euro 2004 chances no favours at all by putting the ball wide with just the keeper to beat. 56 mins: GOAL England 4-1 Iceland Darius Vassell scores when he least expects it after the ball hits his legs from an Owen Hargreaves shot. 55 mins: Ledley King is denied a goal after his header - from a Phil Neville corner - is cleared off the line. 46 mins: Both teams begin the second half with a raft of substitutions. Of the 11 that started for England only Paul Robinson and Jamie Carragher re-appear for the final 45 minutes. 45 mins: The half-time whistle blows in Manchester and puts an end to a good England first-half performance. The referee's watch also concludes England skipper David Beckham's participation in the friendly. He will now have a pre-arranged injection at a Manchester hospital to remove a cyst from his back. 41 mins: GOAL England 3-1 Iceland Heidar Helguson ends England's hopes of a clean sheet - and highlights England's defensive frailties - as he heads the ball past Paul Robinson. 38 mins: GOAL England 3-0 Iceland A spectacular strike from 27 yards out gives Wayne Rooney his second goal of the afternoon and may have ensured his selection for the Euro 2004 opener against France. 35 mins: Eidur Gudjohnsen's bicycle kick flies over Paul Robinson's goal, when a less eccentric effort may have caused him more trouble. 31 mins: David Beckham takes a speculative bending shot from 30 yards out but it fails to bend just enough to trouble Arason in the Iceland goal. 26 mins: GOAL England 2-0 Iceland Wayne Rooney slots home from inside the box after being set up by Gary Neville, who skips past the challenge of Hreidarsson before setting up the Everton teenager. 24 mins: GOAL England 1-0 Iceland Frank Lampard puts England a goal up after a reverse-ball from Paul Scholes allows him to burst through from midfield before his shot from 25 yards takes a deflection and goes into the net. 18 mins: David Beckham picks out Frank Lampard from a corner but the unmarked Chelsea midfielder puts his header wide - when he really should have scored. 13 mins: England win their first corner after David Beckham chips in a dangerous ball into the Iceland box. 4 mins: An unmarked Paul Scholes gets on the end of a fine Gary Neville cross but the striker crashes the ball over the bar from just seven yards out and his three-year goal drought continues. 3 mins: Iceland bag the first corner of the game - as David Beckham helps out the England defence. 1530: England's final Euro 2004 warm-up game kicks off at the City of Manchester Stadium. Team news: England: Robinson, G Neville, A Cole, Campbell, Carragher, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, Beckham, Rooney, Owen. Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson makes two changes from the team which drew 1-1 against Japan. Paul Robinson gets a chance in goal as David James is rested, while Jamie Carragher is drafted in to replace the injured John Terry. Paul Scholes fills the problem position on the left of midfield in a flat 4-4-2 formation. Iceland: Arason, Ingimarsson, Indridi Sigurdsson, Marteinsson, Hreidarsson, Helguson, Thordur Gudjonsson, Johannes Gudjonsson, Gretarsson, Gudjohnsen, Helgi Sigurdsson. Subs: Finnbogason, Kristjan Orn Sigurdsson, Helgason, Jonsson, Tryggvi Gudmundsson, Bjarni Gudjonsson, Baldvinsson, Johann Gudmundsson. Referee: Jan Wegereef (Holland).

England v Iceland was the last friendly before Euro 2004 !! Johny G arranged a mini-bus trip to Man Citys new home so the lads could watch England !! Fletch, John, Dave, Paul, Carly, Jimmy, Peachy and Barter where on board for this one !!   The lads met by the courts early and set out to cannock on a coach where they had to change, the mini-bus soon arrived and they where off and running !! After a not so long journey the clever bus driver managed to take the lads to the wrong ground and they all turned up at old trafford !! They corrected the bus driver and he got back on the motorway to take them two The City of Manchester Stadium. The lads arrived eventually and went in a quality boozer by the ground that was pumping England songs out. A few beers and a good sing song to three lions and it was soon time to head to the match.   The lads arrived in the stadium, there seats where around each other but a little spread out. The game soon got underway and England where soon in front and comfortable 3-1 up at the break ! Frank Lampard opened the score and Wayne Rooney had hit a brace before the break arrived, Heidar Helguson pulled one back just before half time for Iceland !!   A beer at half time and soon it was the second half, Wayne Bridge scored his first England goal either side of a Darius Vassell double to complete a comfortable victory for England !!   The lads got on the mini bus and after a couple of hours where back in brum, a taxi to the moon and a few beers up there to finish the night off !!
