A special game for me as before the match Boro spent a few days pre-season training in my home village of Moretonhampstead on Dartmoor. I had the honour of being asked to liase with Bryan Robson so they could train at the local ground for which I held a key. In addition I also admitted them into the village swimming pool and spent a final evening enjoying a drink with Robson and Viv Anderson in one of our pubs
