Newcastle away and Fletch, Jimmy and Ricky jumped at this trip after there enjoyable night there a year and a half earlier !!
It was Fletch's turn to be cabbaged from the night before this time, Ricky drove, Jimmy in the front and Fletch cabbaged in the back. The lads set off but soon stopped off for a macces breakfast, after breakfast Fletch went to sleep but this was not a good idea as he was soon chucking his guts up. He quickly found a plastic bag and let rip with last nights beer and this morning macces. For some reason Jimmy took pleasure in keep looking at the bag of Sick as Fletch had to hold it until the lads stopped !!
They soon arrived in Newcastle and asked a friendly motorist off places they could stay the motorist took them to a couple of b & b's, the second one they had spare rooms and the lads where set up for the night !! Ricky did not have a match ticket and was not too fussed about getting one so went shopping while the game was on. Fletch and Jimmy went the game.
The game was a decent match but had few chances in it. Jiri Jarosik struck a supurb 30 yard effort in the second half which stuck a post, Blues pilled on the preasure and where probably the better side but then Emre hit a shot in the 80th minute that deflected in to win the game for Newcastle !!
The lads left, not to downbeat as they now new they would be able to safely go out on the night.
After a hour of walking around and Ricky not answering his phone the lads found the b & b and went home to get changed. They where soon back out on the toon in the gate in lloyds bar and later popping in to lennons bar. The lads could not get in blue bambu this time so found a club in gatehead where Ricky being his usual self annoyed a few birds and Fletch and Jimmy being there usual selfe denied knowing him !! The lads had a good night and as usal got bladdered !! The lads left the club and found a few bluenoses singing ''keep right on'' which is always good !! They then walked round for about a hour and a half not knowing where they where going, Fletch and Jimmy convinced themselves a few old ladies where lying to them telling them they where miles away from there hotel and choose to go there own way but where nowhere near !!
The lads where getting well pissed off now, Ricky stampted his feet being the only child he is and Fletch decided to walk his own way only moments later to be picked up in a cab by the other two !! The lads back to the room and to bed !!
The next day a bit of brecky and they set off home, the lads stopped at the service station while Ricky went and played on the machines Jimmy and Fletch chilled. The lads set off again and then after about 45 in to the motorway journey the lads broke down. Jimmy this time cabbaged was asleep in the back, Fletch in the front and all of a sudden a loud noise, the car juddering and Rickys face a picture I will never forget. The lad looked terrified for his life and as if he was about to pop his clogs but luckily managed to get the car over to the hard shoulder.
The lads stood on the hard shoulder for a few minutes decided this went save, they grabbed the beer and climbed a bank to find a little town. The lads soon discovered they in Cattrick and found a little pub. A sos call to Daisy and Nicky was soon putting her paint brush down and heading out to get the lads. Ricky quickly joined the AA and had to go and meet the AA man to get the car moved. The lads from being worried they would be stuck in a field the night where now ell happy they could sit in a pub for 3 hours and wait for a lift !! They got Nicky a thank you present, had a few beers and then soon got picked up and headed home !! A great weekend all round !!
