| Set within Raikes Hall Park, a pleasure grounds complex, the venue was first used by Blackpool FC in 1888. There was a covered seated grandstand on the north side of the pitch, backing on to the lake, but the other three sides, in order to accommodate cricket in the summer, were not banked or covered.
The club finally moved out to Bloomfield Road in 1899 and the whole park was redeveloped with housing with Leicester and Longton Roads being sited on the original pitch.
